My 2026 Halloween Home Decor Tour

Cozy, Classic Halloween Decor for 2026

There’s something about pulling the Halloween bins out of storage that just feels right to me. It is one of those simple signs that a new season has arrived, along with cooler evenings, the glow of a fall candle, and more time spent making home feel warm and inviting. I’ve always loved decorating for Halloween, but I don’t believe the house has to feel completely different every year. Most of what I use is tried-and-true decor that I look forward to bringing back each October. Those familiar pieces have become part of our family’s rhythm, and seeing them again makes the season feel special before I have styled a single shelf. This year I moved a few things around and layered in small updates, while keeping the neutral palette and classic pieces I love. A little black, a little texture, and a few playful details — that is all I need to make our home feel ready for Halloween. It is festive, but never loud, and every room still feels calm, cozy, and like us. Check out my Halloween home decor below!

Entryway

The entryway sets the tone with floating black witch hats above the front doors. I love how they add movement and a little drama to the space, especially when the afternoon light creates soft shadows along the walls. The scale feels playful, but the simple black finish keeps everything clean and intentional. On the console, I layered a gauzy runner with small skeletons, bats, and a simple garland. The warm wood and antique-style gold mirror soften the black accents and help the display feel collected rather than themed. These details are subtle, but they make me smile every time I walk by.

Front Porch

The front porch is where I bring in more of the classic Halloween home decor pieces we have collected over the years. The life-size skeletons return to the woven chairs, surrounded by cream cushions, black-and-white pillows, and a skull planter. I arrange them a little differently each season, which is an effortless way to make familiar decor feel fresh. I always balance the Halloween pieces with natural fall texture — large green topiaries, pumpkins, full mums, and the warmth of the rattan seating. A few orange pumpkins add just enough traditional color, while the oversized spider on the brick gives the porch a playful focal point. It feels layered and welcoming from the sidewalk, but never busy.

Front Yard

The twelve-foot skeletons have become some of our most recognizable Halloween decor, so bringing them back is always part of the fun. Their size adds plenty of impact without needing much else around them, and I love the way they create a playful scene with the skeleton dog. Against the open lawn and simple landscaping, the display still feels balanced.

Living Room & Consoles

Inside, I keep the Halloween touches smaller and let them blend into the rooms we use every day. Black bats climb the wall beside the gold mirror, while a soft ghost garland and a few mini skeletons add texture to the console. I love the contrast of matte black accents with warm wood, aged gold, books, and soft lamplight. The sherpa ghost is one of the softer details I added. Pieces like this make the room feel festive, while still allowing the everyday layers of our home to come through.

Kitchen & Shelves

In the kitchen, I only add a few small seasonal pieces so the space can stay functional and uncluttered. A mini skeleton sits on a wood tray beside a large candle, and a small antiqued-gold skeleton adds another warm metallic touch on the counter. They feel festive, but still work with the organic textures and neutral finishes already in the room. I use the same approach on shelves and countertops throughout the house: leave a little breathing room and choose pieces that complement what is already there. One simple accent beside an everyday object often feels more intentional than filling the entire surface. It is easy to live with, easy to move, and easy to enjoy again next year.

Bathrooms

The bathroom is one of the easiest places to add a seasonal touch. I changed the hand towel and rug, and those two simple swaps were enough to make the room feel ready for October. The black-and-white details work naturally with the graphic tile and dark wall, while the warm wood vanity and brass keep the space inviting. I’ve always loved using small rooms for moments like this because a thoughtful detail has so much impact. You don’t need to restyle every surface — a couple of pieces can change the feeling of the whole room. It is simple, effortless, and easy to store when the season ends.

Shop My Favorite Halloween Home Decor

I gathered a few of my favorite Halloween finds from Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Anthropologie. There is a mix of porch decor, pillows, candles, serving pieces, and smaller accents, with plenty of neutral, black, earthy, and softly metallic finishes. I am always drawn to pieces that can move from room to room and work with decor I already own. Seasonal collections can change quickly, so these collages are also a helpful place to gather inspiration for the feeling you want to create. You don’t need to replace everything each year. Choose one or two details that feel special, layer them with your tried-and-true favorites, and let the rest of the home stay simple.

For me, decorating for Halloween is less about creating something completely new and more about welcoming the season back into our home. The pieces we have used for years carry their own memories, and changing their placement or pairing them with one new texture is often enough to make everything feel fresh again. I hope this tour gives you a little inspiration to use what you love, keep the process simple, and create an October home that feels warm, layered, and personal. A little tradition, a little playfulness, and plenty of cozy details — that is what makes the season feel special to me.

xoxo,

Jena
